Pain, within

Ryan Lee Moran

  It does not evade
It will hold you to the present
No remorse, no sleep, no slumber
  For it will hold firm
In your forefront, in the present
  In the conscious
It refrains the pleasure
  Of life
And yet it seeps
  In your sleep
Pervades your mind
  Enters your dreams
  Brought back to life
With the clutching reality
  That it has not left
  May never leave
As it can hold firm upon the body
  And seep within the soul
    Forever crushing the heart

Ryan Lee Moran was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota, but is currently stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado, in the Army in an infantry unit. He has been writing for ten years and is deeply passionate about the written and spoken word and loves to write and read.
